Parents sending thier children to college

Sending our children to college is a stressful, expensive and heartbreaking obligation of every parent. Unlike primary and secondary schools, parents can educate their children for free because government now are providing free education for elementary and high school, as well as free school supplies and uniforms. Those  parents who works with stable jobs, politicians, and OFWs send their children in private school, but others who doesn’t have or who cant afford stays in public school. Public school is also good but the fact that private school is more comfortable for children to learn and all facilities are complete.
Every parents are doing their best to support education of their children. They work hard to give them everything that they need in schools for them to become successful someday. They believe in the saying “ The Roots Of Education Are Bitter, But The Fruits Are Sweet” . The extra cost, and the sacrifices that are made to pay it, are worth it.

Sending Your Child to College: The Prepared Parent's Operational Manual
With the Philippines economy right now many parents are facing problems on unemployment. And it’s a big difficulty for them on where to get such budget for educating their children every year. Some parents take a risk of working abroad despite of the disadvantages in their part. We all know how hard it is for them to work far from their love ones, especially for their children. But our parents are willing to sacrifice because they want their children to have good future someday. Salary in other countries is much okay compared here in Philippines. For this reason some of the parents take the opportunity to work in other country like Canada, Hongkong, Australia, Singapore, etc.

CHRISTMAS DAY 2011

Every year we are celebrating Christmas Day with our love ones. It is the time for loving, sharing and joy. We consider it as our longest and merriest celebration in our whole life. We decorate our home with Christmas tree, Christmas lights and parols. We prepared special food like Ham, pancit, lechon, suman, barbeque, leche pla etc. There is also abundance of soft drinks, wines and beers , which make the celebration more exciting and fun.

Christmas Evening is the most awaited evening for all of us. It is the night without a sleep and everyone drop by to greet “ Maligayang Pasko” with a kiss. Family, friends, relatives and neighbors are join together in Masses. Children are waiting for their gifts usually candies, toys and money from Santa Clause; others are singing Christmas carols in every house to receive gifts.

They said Christmas Day is for all children in the world. It’s a great time to spend with their family and love ones. But Christmas Day is not merry for these street children. They are not celebrating Christmas like any other children of well off families. They never experience opening a present under Christmas tree.
For Street children Christmas Day is an ordinary day for them. They don’t even celebrate or enjoy it. They don’t receive anything from their parents or any relatives. Some children of rich family enjoy eating lots of Noche Buena and receiving lots of gift but street children are very different. They suffer from hunger and forced to beg food everyday for their family. Sometimes the best Noche Buena they can is a Jollibee Leftover food from throw garbage, and they share it.

That’s the reason why some street children become criminals even when they were young. Instead of family reunions, they are spending Christmas with other criminals in jail. This is one of the problems of our country right now, If the government will focus on this issue im sure they can lessen the criminals in our county.

College Education In Philippines 2012

Philippines is facing one of the major crisis in Tertiary Education this year 2011. College and Universities tuition fees continue to rise and it would result to student dropouts. Due to this problem many students who are enrolled in private colleges and universities dropped or either forced to transfer in public universities and colleges. But we all know that some public universities and colleges are also facing same problems. Some public universities limit their enrollment quotas and also force to increase their tuition fees. They also limit the number of scholars every year and forcing them to leave.

Students who cannot afford to pay the demands in their tuition fees planned to give up their dreams of earning college diploma and to start looking for a job. Many people are spending thousands of Pesos for their college education in order to get a better job. Some use to get college education in other countries. This is because most people think that a college education will provide new and exciting opportunities in the future. We all know that some bigger companies hired mostly employees who have college degree or master's degree. A person with a master’s degree is often picked for the higher position compared to ones who have only attained a bachelor’s degree. This is also happening to those who have undergraduate degrees compared to those who do not have any college qualifications. So, if you don’t attain those requirements you cannot obtain high paying jobs like managers and CEO etc. Maybe you can only work in unskilled jobs

Debt-Free U: How I Paid for an Outstanding College Education Without Loans, Scholarships, or Mooching off My ParentsI think our government should focus on this policy. It seems that the students are neglected by our government . Since we are under the new administration of PNOY, this is a good opportunity for this new administration to take a stand and think out side the box, and to stand up and announce FREE education for all. This will not only help the poor students who want to finish their studies but will help the Country as a Whole.

Unfogettable Tragedy in Makati this year 2011

Makati City is considered as the financial capital of the Philippines. It is known for its rich and fabulous lifestyle, lavish Restaurants, luxury hotels and shopping malls. Makati is one of the  main tourist destination in Philippines because of its tourist attractions that meets every ones expectations.

But,  the start of  this year 2011 could be the worst event that has ever happened in Makati City. Last Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at exactly 2:00 pm the bomb blasted inside an air conditioned bus in EDSA Makati City that killed  five innocent  people  and at least 18 people were injured in the explosion were admitted in  near Hospital of Makati and Makati Medical Center.

The explosion was said to be very   powerful because it punched a hole in a  concrete fence along metropolitan Manila's main highway. Based on the police report victims includes 4 males and 1 female. All of them were bread winner in their family. As I write no suspect has yet been arrested in connection with the  Makati Bomb explosion, but the authorities believe that it is the work of terrorist.

Two days after the Makati Bus explosion another tragedy happened also in Makati that killed 10 construction worker after they fell to they deaths on a construction site.  The victims were riding in an elevator from 28th floor and fell at the 7th floor during there break time. Over loading was said to be the reason of accident because the elevator can accommodate upto  6 persons. Only one worker survived but is critical in  hospital of Makati.

Poverty Worsening in the Philippines this 2011

We are on the second month of the year 2011 and we are already facing continuous problem in our country.  Last January 14, 2011, taxi fare hikes begin with the flagdown rate from P35 to P40. After 3 weeks, Motorist and jeepney owners and drivers complain of increasing fare was approved. The regular fare of 7.00 becomes 8.00 .Another increase in fare will soon be implemented that will affect most Filipinos especially the LRT/MRT passenger.
MRT /LRT Fare Increases

This morning when I walking on my way to the school, when I saw a group of people in front of Guadalupe MRT station, they’re holding a banner and preparing for protest
rally against the fare hike. They are convincing the people especially all MRT passengers to disagree on this issue.

Then I remember the news in TV PATROL last night the LRTA-DOTC recommended the increase in LRT/MRT cost fare this coming March 2011. From the current fare of 10.00 to 15.00 will increase from ranges 35.00 to 60.00. The passengers would spend a total of 60.00-70.00 for a round trip fare.

The LRT Board explains some reasons why  they need to increase the MRT/LRT fare. One of their point is actual cost to run and maintain  the MRT/LRT system.  They explain that the government covers the 50%  the total operating and maintenance cost of the train system. Another r reason also is the current high electricity rates .

This is actually their reasons for opposing a rally. The people will spend a big share of their income in fare cost instead of their  basic daily consumption such as food. The government should increase fare minimum wage for workers in Metro Manila so they can afford paying increasingly fare cost. Mostly MRT/LRT passengers are students and minimum workers earning 10,000.00 a month. If they take the trains to work every day for  safe and  efficient public transportation nothing of their income will left for their family.

FOOD PRICE INCREASE
Food prices are seen to unstable this year. Filipino people basic needs like noodles, canned good, sugar, rice and oil will also increase  because of the world market price increases. The weather  in the Philippines also affect the production  and in return affect the food prices.

We all know that instant noodles are usually eaten by the poor people with  rice and daing (dried fish) because of its affordability. For only 7.00  you can substitute this for a cup of rice to help your empty stomach. High food price is one of the major concern of some Poor Pilipino people  which spend large share of their income on food

Best and Effective Eyebags Removal

My friend rang me  last night, complaining to me about dark circles and bags under her eyes, it lasted for a weeks. Her colleague  asked her for a date and she does not know what to do. She doesn’t want to go for a date with big eye bags. So she asks me for help. I know she works at night and that’s the common cause of it. I told her some tips that I learned from my aunt that I also did to avoid having dark eye bags.

When you are stressed and tired sometimes it shows in our  appearance. The best thing one should do is to relax and get enough sleep in a day, maybe 6-7 hours sleep a day is enough. Elevate your head while sleeping will keep fluid from accumulating around the eyes.

Always drink a lot of water through out the day at least 6-7 glasses is okay, but avoid too many water during bed time. There is also eye creams available in Mercury or Watson that can help a lot.

It’s quite expensive but it’s very effective. They called it Abyssine Eye Cream; it is the one I used before. This eye cream helps reduce under eye dark circles due to stress and short sleep. It also helps brighten the overall eye area in just one week.  You can buy this also at

Apply cucumber, potatoes or green tea bags on the eye bags every night or before you go to sleep. And the last and the most important thing you should do is to reduce drinking alcoholic beverages and eating salty foods.

 Thing to Remember:
If  you notice dark circles and under eyes with bags  in your parents and other family members, it means your possibly linked to your family genes
