College Education In Philippines 2012

Philippines is facing one of the major crisis in Tertiary Education this year 2011. College and Universities tuition fees continue to rise and it would result to student dropouts. Due to this problem many students who are enrolled in private colleges and universities dropped or either forced to transfer in public universities and colleges. But we all know that some public universities and colleges are also facing same problems. Some public universities limit their enrollment quotas and also force to increase their tuition fees. They also limit the number of scholars every year and forcing them to leave.

Students who cannot afford to pay the demands in their tuition fees planned to give up their dreams of earning college diploma and to start looking for a job. Many people are spending thousands of Pesos for their college education in order to get a better job. Some use to get college education in other countries. This is because most people think that a college education will provide new and exciting opportunities in the future. We all know that some bigger companies hired mostly employees who have college degree or master's degree. A person with a master’s degree is often picked for the higher position compared to ones who have only attained a bachelor’s degree. This is also happening to those who have undergraduate degrees compared to those who do not have any college qualifications. So, if you don’t attain those requirements you cannot obtain high paying jobs like managers and CEO etc. Maybe you can only work in unskilled jobs

Debt-Free U: How I Paid for an Outstanding College Education Without Loans, Scholarships, or Mooching off My ParentsI think our government should focus on this policy. It seems that the students are neglected by our government . Since we are under the new administration of PNOY, this is a good opportunity for this new administration to take a stand and think out side the box, and to stand up and announce FREE education for all. This will not only help the poor students who want to finish their studies but will help the Country as a Whole.
